Where Pockli Is Going

Pockli is here — a document scanner that actually keeps your documents organized. Not another scanning app, but a system you can rely on.
But a system you rely on has to be a system that sticks around.
We’ve seen it happen with other apps. A company builds something useful, the numbers don’t hit their targets, and development slows down. Then stops. Then the app quietly disappears.
We started Pockli differently. This isn’t a project chasing profit margins — it’s something we built because we wanted it to exist. When the goal is making something great, you don’t stop because a quarter was slow.
What’s coming next
Here’s what we’re planning for Pockli — the features we want to bring and the direction we’re heading.
Ask your documents questions
This is the one we’re most excited about. Imagine opening Pockli and asking: “When does my car insurance expire?” or “What was the deductible on my home policy?” and getting an instant answer, pulled from the documents you’ve already scanned.
No uploading to the cloud. No third-party AI reading your files. Everything runs locally on your device using Apple’s on-device intelligence. Your documents stay private — and become a lot more useful.
We mentioned this in our first post, and it’s our biggest priority. When we build it, we want it to feel right — fast, accurate, and simple enough that you don’t think about how it works. You just ask.
Shared iCloud folders
Right now, Pockli syncs your documents across your own devices through iCloud. The next step is shared folders — the ability to share a folder with your partner, your family, or a small team, so everyone has access to the same documents.
Think of a shared “Home” folder where both you and your partner can find the lease, the utility bills, the insurance cards. Or a “Kids” folder that both parents can scan into and search through. No emailing PDFs back and forth, no “Can you send me that document?” conversations.
Same privacy model — everything stays in iCloud, encrypted, Apple-managed. We’re just extending it to the people you trust.
Family plan
We’re planning a family plan so you can share Pockli Pro with the people you live with — without everyone paying separately. One subscription, everyone gets the full experience.
Better support for multi-page documents
We want to improve how Pockli handles documents with many pages — contracts, manuals, multi-page forms. Better page management, easier reordering, and the ability to append pages to an existing document after the initial scan.
Small details that make a big difference when you’re working with real-world paperwork.
Why long-term matters
A document management app is a commitment. You’re trusting it with things that matter — your lease, your medical records, your children’s school papers. Some of these documents you’ll need five or ten years from now.
We think about that. And it’s why we’re building this for the long run. Pockli isn’t a side project or an experiment. It’s an app we use every day ourselves, for our own family’s documents. Every feature we add, we add because we need it too.
Support that actually helps
When something goes wrong with the app that holds your important documents, you need a real answer — not an auto-reply.
We read every support message ourselves. If you run into a problem, you’ll hear back from someone who built the app and can actually fix it. No ticket numbers, no “we’ll escalate this.” Just a direct conversation.
This matters to us because we know what it feels like on the other side — reaching out about an app you depend on and hearing nothing back.
The simple version
We’re building Pockli to be the best document management app on your phone. The kind of app that works quietly in the background of your life, keeping your important papers organized, searchable, and private — for years, not months.
On-device AI for asking questions about your documents. Shared folders for families and small teams. A family plan. Better handling of large documents. And a team that responds when you write in.
That’s where we’re going. If you have ideas about what Pockli should do next, we’d love to hear them — get in touch.
